Sometimes the obvious is so obvious that I stand befuckled that people could possibly draw any opposite conclusions to what would seem so apparent to even a small child.
The budget debates in US's Washington DC have gone on for months now debating "entitlement" programs. Currently the Republicans continue to blow the loudest horns swaying people's opinions to oppose what's in their best interest.
Raising the debt ceiling is a simple function in which our congress & the President restructure interest rates to keep our country from obvious default, and complete financial disaster. The Republicans feel the (billionaire funded) need to use this mundane obvious function to hold Democrats, the President and the entire country hostage as ransom that if they don't get their cuts (with no tax hikes to billionaires) they'll most likely let the entire country's economy collapse in on itself.
This would be the worst economic disaster since the 1930s Great Depression. If the country defaults, poor people, disabled, and everyone else (except billionaires) would be severely effected within a month. Several months ago Rush Limbaugh (funded by billionaires) declared to his listeners that a US default would be no big deal to America. That nothing significant would happen, and of course much of America's dependability in this fat jackass, has led much of America's people to believe him and doubt the most obvious.
Yes, much America believes that the way to solve our country's financial problems is to let it crash. I am not over exaggerating, or making this up. Most Americans honestly don't know what's going on, or that Republicans are actually causing most all of the problems just to prove that a Democratic black skinned President can allow the country to become worse.
These Republicans are responsible for millions of American lives, and these Republicans are acting like small children trying to get the best deal at a used car lot no matter how destructive the ramifications would be to most of America. Not kidding, not exaggerating, not making this up.
Bratty Republican snobs preaching their same old :" Live, or die" philosophy that never accounts for anyone but their own back pockets.
So?!?! Will America remember who is more concerned about making a point to toy with possible disaster, than their lives when it comes election time again? I'd like to think so, but considering how many I've noticed are routing for complete collapse as the magic 8 ball says:" Outlook, not good."
